This week’s success strategy is particularly “yummy.” It’s all about building 10 delicious daily habits into your schedule. Now I have to give credit here…I used to talk to my clients about creating 10 plain old daily habits—until I took a course with Master Certified Coach Wendy Wein who introduced me to the “delicious” version of this exercise, which I’ve loved ever since.
So this exercise is all about making sure you have not 1…not 2…but 10 (yes, 10!) things to look forward to each and every day.
These habits could range anywhere from taking 15 minutes to meditate in the morning to going for a walk or run every afternoon, or from taking a bubble bath in the evening to falling asleep to the peaceful sound of the ocean with the assistance of a sleep machine.
I’ll even give you 3 examples from my personal list. I love using decadent bath and beauty products, so I have invested in top-quality products to use every morning so I can truly enjoy the process of getting ready. I also love to listen to books on CD during my commute, so I make sure I have an assortment to choose from in the car. Finally, I keep a success journal that I write in every night before I go to sleep, where I capture all of my wins for the day—everything I’m proud of and grateful for.
So that should give you an idea of some of the things that you could include…So would your list look like?
I’d like to challenge you to brainstorm 10 ways that you can pamper and treat yourself on a daily basis. And don’t forget: be sure to sprinkle them throughout the course of the day, so there’s always something coming up in your schedule to look forward to.
