Finding Farrah

One of our EGAPL dogs is lost!

9/14 UPDATE: Farrah was caught safely today!! Thank you to everyone who was concerned; we couldn't be happier :0)

It has been a very nerve racking few days for EGAPL and our supporters. Earlier this week we announced on Facebook that one of our dogs in foster care – sweet, shy Farrah of our “Charlie’s Angels” litter – managed to escape her harness and collar after a morning walk and has since been missing. Some of you may remember Farrah’s arrival at EGAPL last week and that she is extremely shy and skittish. Thus, despite multiple sightings in the area no one has been able to catch poor Farrah. Farrah was last seen  near Bates Trail / Hopkins Hill in West Greenwich in the woods towards Carrs Pond. We are asking everyone to remain on the lookout for her but please do NOT chase her; if you see her call Tammy ASAP @ 401-241-4541. We have a trap set so the best thing to do now is probably to keep the area QUIET and hope she takes the bait soon but if you do happen to spot her she will not show any aggression, just fear. If a woman talks nicely to her she may allow her to approach but so far we have not had any luck.

Amongst many things we have tried, we hired an excellent tracker - PackLeader PetTrackers. Their dog Trigger is incredible and located Farrah quickly yesterday but she ran off. It did help us identify the right area to leave the trap for her. If you would like to donate to help us cover the trackers fee, please do at www.egapl.org (click on the donate button and say it's for FARRAH) – we truly appreciate it.

We have all been worried sick about Farrah; please keep her in your thoughts as we all hope for her safe return today.
