Dancing for Charity!

On January 24, 2014, Ambassador/Senior Girl Scout Troop 241 hosted 85 younger scouts to an evening of line dancing at the First Baptist Church in East Greenwich.  Nicole and Rob led the girls (and moms) in some tried and true favorites like the Cotton Eye Joe and the Chicken Dance, and challenged them to try new steps with the Boot Scooting Boogie and the Cowboy Charleston.  There was a barn backdrop for photos and a raffle to win the decorative cow balloons.  In addition to the fun, the real purpose of the event was to promote the Girl Scout program Project Undercover, which supplies underwear, diapers, and the like to needy families.  As part of their admission for the evening, the Girl Scouts attending donated over 300 pairs of socks to this worthy cause.
