5 Things: Ask Your Future State Rep

Here are 5 Things to know in East Greenwich today.


1. Only one day left to submit your questions for the local state representative candidates. The Republican Town Committee, together with EG Patch, is holding a debate between GOP candidates for the state House Dist. 30 seat long held by the now retiring Bob Watson on Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Varnum Armory. But we need your help! A portion of the debate will be asking questions that have been submitted on Patch. Send your question via email to elizabeth.mcnamara@patch.com.

2. Snap some pretty photos from around town and want to show them off? Post them on East Greenwich Patch in our Pics and Clips gallery.

3. Have a bored teenager sitting at home looking for something to do at the end of a long summer? , 5 Division St., is hosting a Teen Open Studio today at 1 p.m. Teens may choose and explore art mediums such as ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing, stained glass, textile design, printmaking and metals with guidence of artist/teacher Kristen Beaulieu. Limited spots are available each class, email figgy­sartstudio@­gmail.­com or call 401-864-5269 to reserve your child's spot. $25 a class, all materials included.
