Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, Feb. 16.


CWC meeting: Citizens Who Care meets monthly and discusses ways and plan activities to help kids make good decisions. The meeting takes place in the Community Room at the Police Department at 10 a.m.

Knitting, Crocheting @ EG Library: Hill & Harbor Knitting and Crocheting Group meets at the East Greenwich Free Library and welcomes beginners and experienced alike. All are welcome. Every Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m.

EG GOP meeting: The East Greenwich Republican Town Committee meets tonight in the Community Room at the Police Department, starting at 7 p.m. A new slate of officers will be introduced and new state Republican chair Mark Zaccaria is expected. The meeting is closed to registered Republicans only.

LAX registration: Lacrosse season is getting closer but there is still time to register you child. The season starts in early April and goes to mid-June. New players are always welcome – no experience is necessary.

Stella & Dot event: Stella and Dot is a jewelry company that sells its products through individual sales representatives. Their products are cool and popular across the country. If you are interested in learning about becoming a Stella and Dot "stylist," come to the event this evening at 1149 restaurant starting at 6 p.m.
