CWC, Grade Configuration Meeting & More

Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, Jan. 19.

Citizens Who Care meeting: The CWC is open to all residents interested in helping the youth of EG. They meet monthly in the Community Room at the police department at 10 a.m.

Hill & Harbor Knitting and Crocheting Group: This group meets weekly at the East Greenwich Free Library, beginners and experienced alike. All are welcome. From 1 to 3 p.m.

Grade Configuration Public Forum: The ad hoc subcommittee on grade configuration is reviewing current elementary grade configurations (for Hanaford, Eldredge, Frenchtown and Meadowbrook Farms) in order to provide recommendations to the School Committee. They are holding a public forum tonight at 6:30 at Hanaford.

Artist at work: Today and next Thursday (Jan. 26), the East Greenwich Art Club will have real live artists at work from 5 to 7 p.m. at the EG Free Library. Come on by and say “Hi!” See just how these painters practice their art.

Avenger action: It’s not a home meet, but since EGHS’s home pool is in East Providence, an away meet at McDermott pool in Warwick is pretty darn local. The Boys Swim team will compete against Bishop Hendricken starting at 4 p.m.
