EG Art Club Exhibit & More

Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, March 5.


EG Art Club @ the Library:
Members of the East Greenwich Art Club will be exhibiting their art at the East Greenwich Library, 82 Pierce St., through the month of March, with an opening reception March 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. All are welcome. For more information about the EG Art Club, click here.

EG Little League update: Online registration for boys ages 7 to 12 has closed, but you can still sign up on at evaluations/tryouts for Boys Majors (ages 10 to 12) on March 7. You can still register online for all other divisions.

Coming Tuesday night: The EG Drug Program, Police Department, School Department and CWC (Citizens Who Care) present part two of “Everything you need to know about kids … and better ask.” Presenters on Tuesday will talk about how to talk sex and sexuality with your kids and parental responsibilities regarding technology and internet safety. At Swift Community Center starting at 6:30 p.m.

LAX registration: Lacrosse season is getting closer but there is still time to register you child. The season starts in early April and goes to mid-June. New players are always welcome – no experience is necessary.

Open Jam Night: The Greenwich Hotel’s Open Jam session takes place every Monday night. All musicians are welcome and even non-musicians with rhythm can join in on the percussion instruments. This is Open Mic with a twist. It is a more relaxed format. You are encouraged to jump in and start playing. This makes for an interesting and unique night of music. A full PA set up with mics, cords, bass amp, electronic drum kit, bongos, djembe and other percussion instruments are available.
