EG College Students Make Dean's Lists

From Providence College to CCRI to Keene State, a number of local students make the grade.

The students named on dean's lists from the following colleges are all residents of East Greenwich.

At Providence College, these students made the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester: Marc Capuano, a member of the class of 2012; Gregory Duffy, a member of the class of 2015; Kelly Harrop, a member of the class of 2014; Kelly Lamoreaux, a member of the class of 2013; Brooke MacDonald, a member of the class of 2014; Colleen O'Brien, a member of the class of 2013; Meghan White, a member of the class of 2014. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve at least a 3.55 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credits.

CCRI students who made the Dean’s List from East Greenwich: Vladimir Borovsky, Thomas Campbell, Cori Christie, Brittany Croll, Andrew Croll, John DuBeau, Dylan Elderkin, Nicholas Granatiero, George Kalish, Anna-Lise Karapatakis, Cynthia Lovejoy, Morgan Malloy, Brian Montminy, Christopher Munoz Cortes, Ian Murray, Elizabeth Overstreet, Alex Schrier, Justine Slade, Sarah Ann Thomas, Andriana Vanikiotis, Lynn Wilson

At Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., Elizabeth Caron was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester. Caron is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations.

Curry College's Chief Academic Officer David Potash is pleased to announce that Patrick Mellor attained membership to the Curry College Dean's List for the Fall 2011 term.

Kelsey Damrad was named to the Dean's List at the State University of New York at New Paltz for the Fall 2011 semester. Damrad's major is Journalism.

Rebecca Jacobson, class of 2014, has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2011 semester at Assumption College. Assumption students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher to make the Dean's List.

Keene State College has released the Dean's List for the fall semester 2011. Among the 1,501 students named to the Dean's List are Kateland Dittig, Chloe Edmonds, Carolyn Lonergan, Kelsey Orleck, Kelsey Osborn, David Padrazo, Max Ruginski, Elisabeth Thompson, Rachel Wollin. The Dean's List designation is bestowed to those Keene State College undergraduates enrolled in a degree program who have completed a minimum of six credit hours in the semester, receiving no failing or incomplete grades. A 3.5 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale is required to earn the Dean's List honor.

Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., named these students to its honor roll for the Fall 2011 semester: Emily Buonaiuto, Alexandra Markarian, Alison Rossetti, Lauren Saunders, and Chloe Sondler. To be eligible for dean's list status at Quinnipiac, a student must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis (A through C) to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.

Kayla Saenz of East Greenwich, R.I., has been named to the dean's list at Paul Smith's College for the fall 2011 semester. Saenz, who is majoring in culinary arts and service management, earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction. Saenz was also named an Adirondack Scholar, having achieved a cumulative average of at least 3.8.

The following area students have been named to the dean's list for the fall 2011 semester at the University of Vermont: Nolan M. Langhammer, a sophmore majoring in Global Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences, and Brittany B. Rhodes, a senior majoring in Neuroscience in the College of Arts & Sciences. To be named to the dean's list at UVA, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Gabriel Hayek of East Greenwich, of the Spring 2012 class at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., has received Faculty Honors for the 2011 fall semester. To earn Faculty Honors, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of at least a 3.667 with no individual letter grade below B-minus.

Amara Sardelli of East Greenwich has been honored with placement on the Dean's List at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., for the fall 2011 semester. Sardelli, a member of the Class of 2015. To earn Dean's List honors, a student must complete at least three graded courses and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above.
