EG Office Hours, Another White Out & More

Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, Feb. 17.

EG Patch Office Hours: I’ll be at Wild Harvest in the Benny’s Plaza this morning. Come by and say hello. If you’ve got a story idea, I’d love to hear it. If you’re interested in blogging for EG Patch, let’s talk about it. And if you’ve got a beef about something, I’ll listen to that too! I’ll be there from 9:30 to 11.

‘You Pick’: This morning is your last opportunity to vote for your favorite romantic dinner spot in East Greenwich. We will be announcing the winner at noon, so if you haven’t voted yet — get to it!

Girls Basketball: The EGHS girls varsity and jv teams are playing Mount Hope today, at 3:45 for the junior varsity and 5:15 for varsity. Go Avengers!

Teen Center: The teen center is just what it sounds like — a safe place for teenagers to escape their parents! Bob Houghtaling and a few other adults staff the event, held in the gymnasium at Eldredge School. From 6 to 8 p.m.

Boys Basketball ‘Whiteout 2’: The first Whiteout went so well, they decided to do it again. The suggested donation at the door will be $4. Proceeds from the night will be donated to "The Children's Fund," an organization that assists public school children and their families when they are in need. Many East Greenwich students and their families have been assisted over the years with items such as eye glasses, shoes, coats, clothes, beds, heating, and electricity. Come out and support this worthy cause as well as the Boys Basketball team.
