EG Students Named To College Dean's List

These are some East Greenwich college students named to Spring 2012 dean's lists.


The following from East Greenwich were named to their college’s dean’s list for the Spring 2012 semester. To see the lists that ran last month, click here. Dean’s lists are released by colleges and universities over a six-week (or so) period. We welcome submissions and will publish them sporadically over that time period.  

Thomas Perrelli, a member of the class of 2015 from East Greenwich, has been named to the spring 2012 Dean's List at Loyola University Maryland. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits.

The following local residents are among those named to the Roger Williams University Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. Rachael Asadorian, a Criminal Justice major, Julia Cianciolo, a Creative Writing major and Charles Ryan, a Undecided/Liberal Arts major.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for the spring semester of the 2011-2012 academic year.
Sarah Asadorian earned Highest Honors and Kelly Estes earned High Honors
Students named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance. Highest Honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.7 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.5 to 3.69 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.2 through 3.49 are awarded honors.

Bryan Gilday and Philip Tornquist have been named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for Spring 2012. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Gabriel Hayek received Faculty Honors from Trinity College in Hartford for the Spring 2012 semester. To earn Faculty Honors, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of at least a 3.667 with no individual letter grade below B-minus.

Alex Hayek was named to the University of Connecticut Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester. To be named the Dean's List, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of at least a 3.65 with no individual letter grade below C. In addition, Alex was named a 2011 New England Scholar: All undergraduates and Pharm.D. students at all campuses who earned at least 12 calculable credits for both the Spring 2011 and Fall 2011 semesters and who earned at least a 3.700 (without rounding) semester grade point average (SGPA) for each semester (not an average of the two) will be named New England Scholars."

Andrew Morsilli was named to the Merit List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Ga., for the 2012 spring semester. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester to be named to the Merit List.

The following area residents have been named to the Dean's List at Providence College for the Spring 2012 semester: Marc Capuano is a member of the class of 2012, Gregory Duffy is a member of the class of 2015, Christina Fazzano is a member of the class of 2012, Kelly Harrop is a member of the class of 2014, Carl Lichtenfels is a member of the class of 2012, Brooke MacDonald  is a member of the class of 2014, Raymond Oliverio is a member of the class of 2015, Erin Taylor is a member of the class of 2014, Meghan White is a member of the class of 2014. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve at least a 3.55 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credits.

Rider University's colleges of Business Administration; Continuing Studies; Liberal Arts, Education, and Sciences; and Westminster College of the Arts have announced the names of undergraduate students who have been placed on the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester. Area Dean's List students are:
Elizabeth Hanks a English major, Claire Thompson, a Journalism major.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester at Assumption College. To make the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Kyle Dubuc, class of 2014; Rebecca Jacobson, class of 2014; and Lauren Mason, class of 2014.

Wofford College, has announced the Dean's List students for the Spring 2012 Semester, including: Victoria Anastacio DaSilva. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of graded courses and attain a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

Stephanie Nicole Filardo was named to the Miami University dean's list.
Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for second semester 2011-2012 have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic performance.

Kelsey Damrad was named to the Dean's List at the State University of New York at New Paltz for the Spring 2012 semester. Damrad's major is Journalism.
Dean's List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

Villanova University named the following students to the Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester. Katherine Boyarsky is studying Communication in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Spencer Dean is studying Biochemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Thomas Laferriere is studying Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Stephen Marcaccio is studying Biology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Christine Surabian is pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Villanova School of Business. Alexandra Thomas is studying Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Villanova University Dean's List recipients are honored by their college's respective dean. To qualify, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5.The College of Nursing requires students to earn at least a 3.5 for the academic year.

Nicholas K. Iwamoto has been named to first honors on the Clark University Dean's List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Spring 2012 semester. To be eligible for first honors, students must have a grade point average of 3.8 or higher, of a maximum of 4.3 (all A+s).
