On Saturday …

Yard sales: Check out the yard sales in the area here.

Story Hour at Symposium Books: Children (and their adults) are invited to Story Hour at Symposium Books on Main Street. Every week they pick a new story and read it to the kids with animal crackers and fun. Favorite stories are "No Matter What" and "Jungle Explorer." Come early and help pick the story, and better yet, there is a 10 percent additional discount on everything in the store during story hour! 11:30 a.m.

Casey Farm market: One of the more established farmers markets in the state takes place Saturday mornings at Casey Farm, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Children free at Pequot Museum: Children 12 and younger are free at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum in Connecticut the first Saturday of each month. Two children per adult; cannot be combined with any other offers for discounted adult admission rates.

Museums free for BofA, Merrill Lynch cardholders: Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders get free admission to Providence Children’s Museum, the RISD Museum and Newport Art Museum both Saturday and Sunday (and the first full weekend of every month).

On Sunday …

Drumming circle: Come join East Greenwich's first drumming community all summer long at St. Luke's Church at 11:30 Sundays. Every week there will be the opportunity to participate or just watch others display the powerful connection we have to rhythm. No experience is necessary, just an interest to support the beauty of what is going on here is our diverse little town.

Adopt-A-Pet Open House: Animals are available for viewing and adoption today with the assistance of a dedicated East Greenwich Animal Protection League member. The open house takes place at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital from 10:30 to 1 p.m. Individual appointments are also available.
