Five Things: Market, Motors, Meals & More

Goddard Park Farmers Market: The market has moved into fall mode, with pumpkins, squash and apples. It’s a lovely way to spend a cool late summer morning. Off Ives Road, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cruise Night: Vintage cars your delight? Then the parking lot at Crestar at Union and Greene streets is where you want to be tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. In addition to a lot of very cool cars, there’s always a D.J. and Pop’s catering truck too.

Teen Center: The Teen Center has provided a great place to hang out on Friday evenings for decades now. They meet at the gym at Eldredge School but you don’t have to play basketball to enjoy the camraderie. From 6 to 8 p.m.

Avenger home games: Girls Volleyball versus Scituate, JV at 4:45 and Varsity at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, because of concern about West Nile Virus and EEE, Varsity Football at Tiverton will be played at 10:30 a.m.

EG Restaurant Week ends soon: More than 30 restaurants are taking part in EG’s first-ever Restaurant Week through Sept. 22. For a list of all the participants and other information, click here.

Restyled RI: A consignment event for women – “Saving you, your closet, and the planet … with style!” There will be new and gently used designer and mall-brand clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories.” This takes place at 100 Factory Street in West Warwick, Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
