Five Things: New Year's Resolutions?

Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Dec. 27.

Trash Pickup: Pickup is delayed one day from Tuesday through the rest of the week, so those with regular Wednesday pickup should be ready for pickup TODAY.

Kent County Y Family Week: The Y on Centreville Road is open to non-members all this week. All you need is a valid photo id. Click here for the website.

New Year's Resolutions: Do you have one? Let me know – elizabeth.mcnamara@patch.com.

And ...

Vote for Stanley! Our own Stanley Marion’s fantastic Christmas lights display at his mother’s house on Wanton Shippee is up for the grand prize in Patch’s Deck the House Contest. The winner earns $100,000 for the town’s school district. That could be East Greenwich. To vote, click here. You can vote once every 24 hours – please do!

EG Food Cupboard needs donations: People are hungry all year round, Chris and Steve Bartlett of the Food Cupboard remind us. Items especially needed are jars of jelly, baked beans, canned fruit, tuna, peanut butter, and cereals. The food cupboard is housed at St. Luke’s Church. You can leave food there during normal business hours.
