Fire District meeting:
 On the agenda is a discussion of disability pension benefits and going out to bid for auditor. The meeting takes place in Council Chambers at Town Hall and starts at 6:30 p.m. in Executive (closed) Session.

School Calendar survey: The School Department is asking parents to fill out a survey of the school year holidays, vacations, start and end days. The results will be used when deciding on the 2014-15 school year. To complete the survey, click here. The survey will be available through Friday, April 5.

Register now for Bunny Hop 5K: The East Greenwich Track Club is holding it’s second-annual Bunny Hop 5K and Fun Run on Saturday morning, April 13, at Goddard Park. Proceeds support the East Greenwich Track Club Summer Series, a free track-and-field event on Wednesday evenings in July for boys and girls ages 4-14. It’s a USATF-certified course and sanctioned event. First 350 people to register are guaranteed a shirt. Please visit www.egtrackclub.com for registration and more information. On Friday …

No School: Schools are closed today in observance of Good Friday.

Food Drive:Christ Church is collecting canned foods and dry goods all day today until 8 p.m., with a “pod” in front of the church on Main Street. The food will help support the East Greenwich Interfaith Food Pantry at St. Luke's, the Thrift Shop and pantry at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church on Division Street, the North Kingstown food pantry at the United Methodist Church on Post Road, and the Artic Mission in West Warwick. Here are the items they are collecting: jelly/jam • peanut butter • canned tuna & chicken • canned fruit (pears, peaches, pineapple, mandarin oranges, mixed fruit, apple sauce) • sugar • oil • mayo • ketchup • chili • hash • beef stew.

On Saturday …

Egg Hunt: Tenth Annual EG Historic Preservation Society Easter Egg Hunt will take place at Goddard Park.  Children age 7 and under are welcome to participate.  Collection bags will be provided. There is no fee to participate but donations are welcome to support the EGHPS. Hope to see you "hop" on over! 10 a.m.
