Five Things: Open Houses, GS Cookies

Our Lady of Mercy School Open House: Students, faculty, staff and current families will be on hand to give tours and answer questions about what a difference OLM has made to them. In addition to offering a competitive, challenging curriculum for students in Grades Pre K-8, OLM Students are taught to show mercy throughout their day, reaching out in kindness to each other and to those in need. Rocky Hill School Open House: You can visit the Rocky Hill School campus in Potowomut and get a sense of the school community. Check out the 88-acre waterfront campus, highly committed faculty, engaged students, integrated technology, Harkness methodology, and experiential learning-based curriculum. Please join us for our Admission Open House from 1 to 3 p.m.

Girl Scout Cookie Booths: You can buy your favorite GS cookies today at two locations in EG: East Greenwich United Methodist Church after both services and at West Marine at 1000 Division Street from 12 to 3 p.m. Additional booths may be located by going to www.gsri.org and clicking on the "click here" button to find a booth sale near you.

On Monday …

Christ Community Kitchen dinner: Once a month, Christ Community Kitchen takes place at St. Luke's Church (usually, but not always, the last Monday of the month). It's a community meal open to anyone interested in good food and fellowship. No religious affiliation is required. St. Luke's and EG United Methodist Church share in the cooking and serving duties, typically rotating every other month, but others, including Boy Scouts, have participated. The meal is free, but donations are accepted.

Town Council meeting: Items on the agenda include an application by the Silver Spoon Bakery for a liquor license, a tax appeal settlement for Bostitch, and drafted legislation for merging the EG Fire District with the town.
