Five Things: Reader's Choice Finale, Teen Center

Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Aug. 17.

Your Last Chance! Okay, that’s a little dramatic, but it’s also true. Voting on our Readers' Choice polls closes tonight at 11:59. Click on the main Readers' Choice story and you’ll get links to all the polls we’re running. Take a minute and check out that main story … I’m pretty sure you’ll find one or two or three or even more polls you have an opinion on.

Goddard Park Farmers Market: The market has vegetables galore, baked goods, flowers and more, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Goddard Park.

Crestar Cruise Night: Bring your hot rod or just come to admire them. There's music, Pop's food truck and lots of gleaming metal to swoon over. From 5 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot at Crestar Frames.

Teen Center: Got a bored teenager at home? Send him or her down to the gym at Eldredge for a couple hours tonight. From 5 to 7 p.m.

EG Food Cupboard needs donations: People are hungry all year round, Chris and Steve Bartlett of the Food Cupboard remind us. Items especially needed are jars of jelly, baked beans, canned fruit, tuna, peanut butter, and cereals. The food cupboard is housed at St. Luke’s Church. You can leave food there during normal business hours.
