Five Things: Remembrance Service, Trivia Contest

Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Nov. 13.

Trash pickup delayed one day: Because of the Veterans Day holiday on Monday, no trash was picked up that day. If your trash is usually picked up on Mondays, then it will be picked up today. And so on. Also, leaf bags will be picked up all month long on your pickup day. If you still have storm debris, contact the Public Works department for pick up: 886-8618.

Remembrance service: Christ Church is holding a special service to remember those loved ones who have died. They will celebrate their lives with candle lighting, song, meditation, prayer, and a Book of Remembrance. . . followed by a time of fellowship. All of the community is welcome. The service begins at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Trivia Contest @ The Grille: Every Tuesday night, the Grille on Main hosts a trivia contest. It’s loads of fun whether you compete with a large group or just your date. There are prizes every round, as well as a grand prize. You have to be there by 8 p.m. to enter.
