Adopt-A-Pet Open House: Animals are available for viewing and adoption today with the assistance of a dedicated East Greenwich Animal Protection League member. The open house takes place at Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital from 10:30 to 1 p.m. Individual appointments are also available.

Calendar items: If you have something you’d like to see on the EG Patch calendar, upload it by clicking here and finding the “Add an Event” tab on the right. The Events Calendar is my go-to spot for the daily Five Things column. If you want to be featured in Five Things, make sure you post your items on the calendar!

EG Food Cupboard needs donations: People are hungry all year round, Chris and Steve Bartlett of the Food Cupboard remind us. Items especially needed are jars of jelly, baked beans, canned fruit, tuna, peanut butter, and cereals. The food cupboard is housed at St. Luke’s Church. You can leave food there during normal business hours.
