Five Things: School, School And ... School

Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Aug. 29.

First Day of School pictures: The backpack’s already set (last time that will happen this year!), outfit’s picked out, pre-first-day-day jitters in full swing. Make sure you get a photo and upload it here. If you don’t have a school-age child, upload a photo of you on the first day of school.

Bus schedules: If you need a bus schedule, here’s a link to all the EG public school schedules and schedules for OLM and Rocky Hill schools. And keep in mind that buses tend to be LATE during the first week of school. Hang in there!

EG Food Cupboard needs donations: People are hungry all year round, Chris and Steve Bartlett of the Food Cupboard remind us. Items especially needed are jars of jelly, baked beans, canned fruit, tuna, peanut butter, and cereals. The food cupboard is housed at St. Luke’s Church. You can leave food there during normal business hours.

Loving the Facebook ‘Likes’! If you haven’t “liked” EG Patch on Facebook yet, you’re missing out. It’s a great way to stay engaged, as well as to make sure post your own events on our page. Here’s the link. And thanks!

Weather: A great day for the start of school. The humidity is low, and temperatures won’t reach beyond the high 70s.
