Five Things: 'Triskaidekaphobia,' Bubbleology & More

Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, July 13.

Friday the 13th: Superstitious but don't want to admit it? Use the Greek term: triskaidekaphobia. It means fear of 13. But you already knew that....

Goddard Park Farmers Market: With all the recent warm sunny weather, today’s market should be full of native produce, in addition to all the regular items (baked goods, plants, and seafood, among others). From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. off Ives Road.

Bubbleology: Every Friday in July, there’s a children’s performance at East Greenwich High School. Today, Keith Michael Johnson brings “Bubbleology” to town. We’re talking really BIG bubbles, and bubbles within bubbles, and bubbles shaped as things. We’re talking crazy bubbles! From 1:30 to 2:15 p.m.

Blood Drive at Swift: Giving blood just makes a person feel good, to say nothing for the recipient! My own son received many, many pints of blood in the first seven years of his life and we have been very grateful. At Swift Community Center from 1 to 5 p.m.

Teen Center: For two hours every Friday night, teenagers have their own place, the gym at Eldredge School. From 6 to 8 p.m.
