Five Things: Wray Fundraiser, School Committee

School Committee meeting: On the agenda are a slew of appointments, including most of the fall extracurricular coaching positions, and a handful of resignations, including Janet Rufful from Eldredge and Craig MacKensie from EGHS. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the library at Cole Middle School.

Housing Authority meeting: The board meets at the EG Housing Authority offices on First Avenue, just east of the police station. The meeting starts at 4:15 p.m.

Janice Wray fundraiser at Mozzarella’s: Janice was in a serious car accident in Connecticut earlier this year. Her injuries were significant. Help offset some of the many expenses not covered by her health insurance by dining at Mozzarella’s today. Let them know you are there in support of Janice.

What would you ask the state rep candidates? The Republican Town Committee, together with EG Patch, is holding a debate between GOP candidates for the state House Dist. 30 seat long held by the now retiring Bob Watson on Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Varnum Armory.
