Fundraiser For Don Lynch Tonight At Armory

There will be live music, a silent auction and prizes - many of which were donated by various Main Street businesses. Tickets are available today at Main Street Coffee and tonight at the door for $35.

1. Help Don Lynch: Longtime community member Don Lynch lost his home to a fire on Feburary 8. Tonight the community is holding a fundraiser to help him get back on his feet at the Varnum Armory from 5:30 to 8 p.m. There will be live music, a silent auction and prizes - many of which were donated by various Main Street businesses. Tickets are available today at Main Street Coffee and tonight at the door for $35. We hope to see you there.

2. Change in the weather: The warm, sunny weather couldn't last forever and, in fact, it will probably end today with some rain thoughout the day and possibly even some snow this morning. We hope you hit Hilltop Creamery this weekend. If not, the sun is expected to come back out tomorrow.

3. March madness: Can't get enough of basketball this time of year? Sure you can watch reruns on the NCAA tournament tonight. Or, you could head down to the high school gym for the weekly 35-and-older open gym night from 8 to 10 p.m. Participants are encouraged to sign up and pay a registration fee before playing.

4. Jam session: If you're more into making music than baskets, you might want to stop in at the Greenwich Hotel after 7 p.m. for its weekly Monday night jam session.

5. Family history: After enjoying Deb Savitt's piece on doing her family geneology, you might want to delve into your own. If so, there is a class on how to do so at 1 p.m. at Swift Community Center.
