A Beautiful Day, R.I. Artists & More

Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, Nov. 3

EGHS Spirit Week activities: Spirit Week continues at the high school, with each class wearing a particular color to school today - green for seniors, blue for juniors, red for sophomores and orange for freshman.

Rhode Island artists exhibit: Warwick Museum of Art is pleased to present its Rhode Island Open 25 Juried Art Competition and Exhibition through Nov. 26. The show features the work of 25 Rhode Island artists. From 4 to 8 p.m.; 3259 Post Rd., Warwick.

Cove Commission, yes; Fire District, no: The Fire District had posted an agenda for a meeting tonight but that meeting has been cancelled. Earlier today we posted that the Cove Commission was not meeting today - that was wrong! The panel will be meeting at Town Hall at 4:30 this afternoon. Sorry for the confusion!

Nature walk: It's been a strange fall, but it is looking fall-ish out there. Try a stroll around today if you have the chance. It truly is a hidden treasure! Today’s the warmest day of the week; temperatures will peak in the mid-50s.

Cole Girls Soccer quarterfinals: Cole vs. Kickemuit, 3 p.m. at EGHS's Carcieri Field.
