Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, Nov. 7

Cole Funfest planning meeting: The Cole PTG is sponsoring the first FUNFEST of the year on Friday evening, Nov. 18, and volunteers are needed. There is a planning meeting this morning at 9:30 in the Cole Office Conference Room. Any parents interested in volunteering the night of the event, November 18th, are invited to attend this meeting. In addition, they are looking for volunteers to sell tickets Wed. through Fri., Nov. 16 - 18, during school lunches  from 10:15 a.m.  to 12:30 p.m. If you are unable to attend today’s meeting but would like to volunteer, contact Tricia Colgan at egtricia@verizon.net. Donations of water, Gatorade and snacks are also needed.

Library Book Group: The book under discussion this month is Skyward by Mary Alice Monroe. The meeting goes from 1 to 2 p.m. at the library.

Library Artist of the Month: Artists of the Month Exhibit for November 2011 will be a collection of Multi-Media Two Dimensional Art presented by the members of the East Greenwich Art Club.

EG playoff action: Boys Soccer takes on Tolman High School in the semifinals at Carcieri Field at 5 p.m.  

“Myths & Mysteries of Judaism” course: The Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) will present Fascinating Facts: Exploring the Myths and Mysteries of Judaism, the six-session course that begins tonight. Interested students may call (401) 884-7888 or visit www.rabbiwarwick.com/id3.html.
