Office Hours, Good Friday & More

Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, April 6.

EG Patch “office hours”: You’ll find me at Felicia’s this morning from 9 to 11. Swing by and say hi!

Good Friday events: The annual Walk of the Cross starts at Lutheran Church at noon. All are welcome to take part in this walk through downtown East Greenwich with stops along the way to read and reflect on Jesus’s last hours. St. Luke’s Church holds a Taize prayer service at 7 p.m. — a solemn and reflective candlelight-and-chant. Christ Church is hosting a “guided tour” of Jesus’s last week tonight from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

REVEALED at The Savory Grape: East Greenwich photographer Scott Indermaur will be at The Savory Grape today, talking about his just published book, REVEALED: Personal Visions of Transformation and Discovery, and signing copies. Indermaur has also collaborated with RI Public Radio with its This I Believe - Rhode Island program creating THIS I BELIEVE REVEALED. This solo exhibit opens at the Newport Art Museum on March 30. TSG invites everyone to come meet Scott, enjoy some wine, and get a signed book. (Books are sold by Scott or at revealedproject.storenvy.com.)

Teen Center: The teen center is just what it sounds like — a safe place for teenagers to escape their parents! Bob Houghtaling and a few other adults staff the event, held in the gymnasium at Eldredge School. From 6 to 8 p.m.
