Sharing Locker, Fire District Meeting & More

Five things you need to know about East Greenwich today, Feb. 18.


Fire District meeting: The Chief presents his ideas about where the District's stations ought to be located to provide EG citizens with the best fire and EMT coverage. At New England Tech at 10 a.m.

Sharing Locker: The Westminster Unitarian Church offers a non-food pantry to assist people in meeting their basic needs for living, to increase their quality of life, and to fill the gap for those who are struggling. Provisions offered include: all-purpose cleaners, dish detergent, hand soap, laundry detergent, SOS pads, deodorant, body lotion, razors, facial tissue, paper towels, toilet paper, and dry pet food for dogs and cats. At Westminster Unitarian Church from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

EGLL Baseball & Softball registration: There will be a walk-in registration today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at EGHS in the lower gym for children who want to sign up for spring softball and baseball. Attached is a blank registration to bring with you if you would like to fill it our ahead of time. Board members will be on site to answer any questions. Symposium Story Hour: Every week we pick a new story and read it to the kids with animal crackers and fun!  Favorite stories are "No Matter What" and "Jungle Explorer."  Come early and help pick the story, and better yet, there is a 10% additional discount on everything in the store during story hour!

Transfer Station hours: The East Greenwich Transfer Station is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s located on Crompton Avenue between the Town Boat Ramp and the Sewage Treatment Plant. For a full list of Transfer Station services, click here.
