Welcome to EG Avengers Hockey

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the East Greenwich High School Hockey team. Working on a public blog is very new for me, so I guess the first thing I should do is introduce myself. My name is Paul Horoho, my family and I moved to East Greenwich three years ago. Moving to East Greenwich has been wonderful; if I was not devoting time to blogging about EG Hockey I could easily start a blog about how great it is to live in East Greenwich. However, this is a hockey blog.

I love the sport of hockey! My son Jake is a freshman goalie and I could not be happier with his choice to attend East Greenwich High School. When Jake tried out for the team I knew only one player on the team. Over the past two months I have had the honor to meet all of the players and their parents. I have watched these players’ during practices, games and have interacted with them at the rink and in my home; I can tell you that the EG High School Hockey Team is made up of an impressive group of young men. I’m not a hockey coach, what I know about the game of hockey is limited at best. What I do know is that the Avengers are currently 1-4-1 and yes they are a great hockey team. I hope you come back again and get to know more about the players, coaches, the incredible history of this program and why it is so great to be part of EG High School Hockey.

Yes Virginia there is a Santa Clause and EG High does have a hockey team.
