Gee Vying for Dist. 35 Seat
Town Councilor Mark Gree will be facing off against North Kingstown School Committee Chairwoman Kim Page for the Senate Seat.
Town Councilor Mark Gee will be vying for the District 35 Senate seat — a seat currently occupied by Dawson Hodgson, who announced he will be running for Attorney General.
Elizabeth McNamara reported that Gee said he was prompted to run by Hodgson's decision and "he admired Hodgson’s integrity and honesty and agreed with his stands on such issues as 38 Studios and Deepwater Wind."
Gee, a Republican, will be squaring off against Kim Page, chairwoman of the North Kingstown School Committee.
So far, no Democrats have announced they'll be running for the seat.
Hodgson, for his part, said both candidates are "very good."
