BLUE CHRISTMAS

“BLUE”   CHRISTMAS

For many of us Christmas is not a “holly, jolly” time, but a season of sadness, grief, even despair. We will recognize these feelings, and give worship time to raise them up to God in a “Blue Christmas” service on Saturday, December 28 at 4 PM.

We will have silence, readings, music, prayer, and time for reflection and, perhaps, sharing. We will light candles against the darkness of the season and of our lives, and go forth strengthened and renewed. There will be time for refreshments and fellowship following worship.

If you are experiencing darkness instead of joy, for whatever reason, please come and be part of this. If you know someone who is having a time of sadness or grief, please invite them to come. If your heart is filled with joy, please come and worship in community with those whose hearts are heavy.
