Bowen's Wharf 43rd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

4:30 p.m. - Arrival of Frosty the Snowman
5 p.m. - Local musicians lead the crowd in a Christmas Carol Sing-a-Long
6 p.m. - The tree will be lit, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will (harbor arrival is weather permitting) sail into Bowen’s Basin.

As it has done for 43 years, the traditional tree lighting takes place on the first Saturday of December (this year, Dec. 7), and will draw hundreds of people, including kids, to gather for a Christmas carol sing-a-long, a visit by Frosty the Snowman and the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus…by boat, of course!  Then there is the magical moment when the switch is flipped.

All day and evening, Bowen’s Wharf restaurants and retail shops are open for business (free parking with validation at the Bowen’s Wharf lot), and the fun continues after the lighting by those whose bedtime is of their own choosing.

The event is open to the public, free of charge. For more information on Bowen’s Wharf, visit http://www.bowenswharf.com/
