East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society

Paul Campbell, archivist of the City of Providence, will be the guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society on Monday, February 17th.  He will speak about recent discoveries at the city archives, located in the attic of the city hall on Eddy Street.  He will describe the techniques used to preserve the city's historic treasures.  Paul is the author of eight books on local history.  He has an MA in History from Providence College and he was the Director of the Rhode Island Historic Society from 1980 to 1988.

The meeting at the Old Jail, 110 King Street, begins with a pot luck supper at 6:30; the program begins at 7:30.  It is free and open to the public. Please call Sue Curado at 884-6463 or e-mail her at lencu@cox.net for reservations.
