Educator Appreciation Week Events!

Barnes & Noble is celebrating educators! Educator
Appreciation Week is October 12th -20th.  Educators will receive 25% off their classroom
and personal purchases when using their Educator Card.  Educators can enter a raffle to win a NOOK
HD+ tablet or a $500 BN Gift Card! Educators can obtain lots of free materials to
use in their classroom.  Special events
will be held throughout the week.  Tuesday,
Oct. 15 at 6:30pm, John Reis will be presenting “Sticks & Stones…a Look at
Bullying”.  The workshop will define bullying;
examine types of bullying and strategies & interventions in dealing with
bullying incidents. John Reis is Retired Lt. Commanding Officer Youth Services
Bureau at the Providence PD, Founder & President of Partnership to Address
Violence Education; Dean of Student Affairs at Times2 Academy.  Are you homeschooling or considering
homeschooling? On Wednesday, Oct. 16th from 10am-12pm, members of
the homeschool group ENRICHri will be available to answer questions about
homeschooling in RI.  You can ask about
laws, curriculum, socialization, field trips or cooperative.   On
Thursday, Oct. 17th at 7pm we are conducting NOOK “Appy” Hour! This
presentation will demonstrate the latest educational apps to utilize in the
classroom.  Café drinks will be
