Community Corner

GREENWICH BAY WOMENS CLUB

Since 1964 the Greenwich Bay Womens Club has been making a difference in a variety of ways in our local communities.  Made up of women of all ages -- young mothers, career women, retired women -- we join together the 2nd Tuesday of each month from September to June to enjoy each others' company while working together doing 'in-kind' services and planning fundraisers for worthy causes and educational scholarships.  Some of the organizations we have donated to over the years include Bayside Family Healthcare (No. Kingstown), House of Hope (Warwick), RI Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity (both South County and Northern RI), to name just a few.  We also sponsor the Barbara M. Tufts Co-operative Childrens Center.  A State sponsored non-profit community service organization, we invite all women to visit us at any meeting to learn more about us.  Our Club motto, "Have a heart, Lend a Hand, Work as One", says it all -- and we hope you'll think about joining us!  For further information, please call Sue at 885-2130 or Laureen at 295-9174.
