Colleen Kelly Mellor's work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Scripps-Howard, the Providence Journal, and CNN and NY Times-acclaimed medical blog, kevinmD.com. Her Grandpa and the Truck stories are her first children's stories, but this 30-year teacher and grandmother feels she's spent a lifetime honing her craft as storyteller before adolescent audiences, whether in her classroom or in her family.

About the Author:


Kristen Calenda is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where she earned her B.S. in textiles with a concentration in plant and soil sciences. As a successful businesswoman, she owned and operated a women's apparel shop, a consignment resale store, as well as a decorative artist/painting business. A native Rhode Islander, Kristen lives in Warwick with her husband and three cats. USING 50% OF THE PROFITS FROM THE SALES OF THIS BOOK, HER GOAL IS TO FUND VARIOUS ANIMAL RESCUE GROUPS, BOTH GREAT AND SMALL.
