Friends to Host Jon Leiberman, Investigative Journalist

East Greenwich, RI:  On Wednesday, March 26, 2014, the Friends of the East Greenwich Free Library will welcome Jon Leiberman to speak about the world of investigative journalism and his career as a crime reporter.  

During his career, Jon has worked on a broad range of cases from missing persons to murder investigations, and has also worked as a victims’ advocate.Jon Leiberman is an Emmy award-winning investigative correspondent and producer who has worked as a national television correspondent and a national radio correspondent. He is currently an investigative reporter with the Howard Stern Show on Sirius XM. Jon hosts "Leiberman Live" - a daily news show on Sirius XM and the show "Embedded with Jon Leiberman" on Howard TV. Jon also hosts a web series for AOL entitled "Searching for Justice." His first true crime book comes out Feb. 25, 2014 for Forge/MacMillan. 

Leiberman has served as a Professor in residence at the University of Iowa School of Journalism, and has lectured at the University of Maryland and McDaniel College.  He also teaches journalism classes online for mediabistro.com, and does media relations and media training seminars.  Jon sits on the board of the National Domestic Violence Registry.

Jon has filed hundreds of reports on fugitives across the country and abroad for the FOX TV show “America’s Most Wanted.” An expert in all things crime, he has appeared on national shows including   “TODAY”, “Shepard Smith’s Fox Report”, “Nancy Grace,” and “The Maury Povich Show,” and is quoted extensively on crime stories in newspapers throughout the country.  For more information about Jon, visit http://www.jonleiberman.com/
