Homeless Awareness Campout and Fundraiser

The Youth of First Lutheran Church of East Greenwich are holding their
Annual Homeless Awareness Camp out/Fundraiser Weekend beginning at noon on
Saturday, January 18th and ending at noon on Sunday 19th. 
Youth will be camping out on the front lawn of 118 Division St. to bring
awareness to the plight of homeless individuals and families in New
England.  The youth will be collecting funds and donations (clothing,
blankets, nonperishable food) for the Rhode Island Family Shelter – the only
shelter in Rhode Island that accepts entire families.   The public is
encouraged to stop by and chat with the socially conscious youth about what
this weekend means to them and what impact they hope it will have.
