Live Music Venue to open in West Warwick

Manchester 65 Brings Live Music Back to West Warwick

Live music returns to West Warwick
after more than a decade.

Manchester 65, the latest project
of former Motif Magazine publisher, Jim Vickers, will open July 24 in the historic Crompton Mill. The
long stagnant former textile mill is being resurrected into a 600-capacity live
music venue, with an adjacent Irish pub and scenic outdoor courtyard
overlooking the Pawtuxet River.

As fewer and fewer music lovers are willing to brave the increasingly dangerous
streets of the greater Providence area
at night, Manchester 65 offers the
arts community a safe, suburban landscape with free parking for more than 300
cars.

With a national level stage and sound system, Manchester
65 provides a state-of -the-arts facility that can attract national level
artists to perform in a safe enjoyable environment.

Already, New York
ska favorites The Slackers are set for July 24; Reggae greats The Wailers July
25; Grammy winning Rebirth Brass Band from New Orleans
takes the stage July 27; Robby Krieger of The Doors performs August 23 among
many others.

Manchester 65
has answered the call to become the safest live performance venue in Rhode
Island.

As every Rhode Islander is well aware, the Station Fire tragedy took more than
100 lives of music lovers from our bosoms in West Warwick.
Each day, people from the neighboring community tell us their stories and one
common thread runs through each -- they are thrilled that live music will be
returning to West Warwick.

The Town has embraced Manchester
65 as the cornerstone of an arts-based redevelopment of the textiles mills that
once fueled the economy.

Working closely with West Warwick Town Manager Fred Presley,
as well as the fire and police representatives, the project has exceeded and in
most cases doubled the stringent safety code requirements applied in Rhode
Island.

Placing the safety of our future patrons above the notion of corporate
liability, Manchester 65 has the
blessing to go forward to begin restoring the arts community in West
Warwick.

Located at ^5 Manchester Street in West Warwick, the venue is only 2 miles off I-95 down Route 117. Patrons
will not have to wade through traffic or hunt for free parking. Manchester
65 brings a breath of fresh air to live music by bringing A-list artists to Rhode
Island in a safe, relaxed environment that will fully
enhance your live performance experience.
