Summer Theater Production (ages 7-14)

There is no better way to create, collaborate, learn and grow in the theater than taking part in a full-scale production.  In this two week camp that Experiments in Theater offers in association with the East Greenwich Department of Parks & Recreation, all participants will receive a role in:

EVERYTHING I NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED
BY PARTICIPATING IN A REALLY BAD PLAY
BY WERNER TRIESCHMANN

In this one act comedy, participants play actors depicting what it’s like to take part in a “really bad play.” Young actors have an opportunity to dramatize and laugh at the entire theater process from the stress of the audition through the excitement of opening night.  The story includes fun character situations like a controlling stage manager, an over-caffeinated director, and other funny but true actor drama.  Every participant will get a speaking role in the final performance that family & friends are welcome to attend on the last day of camp.

    Ages: 7-14
    Time: 9-11 AM
    Dates: July 21-August 1
    Duration: 2 weeks (M, T, W, F, no Thursdays)
    Camp fee: $100.00
