THE FRIENDS OF EAST GREENWICH FREE LIBRARY PRESENT: A SATURDAY STROLL THROUGH EAST GREENWICH HISTORY

The very popular East Greenwich Walking Tour with Bruce C. MacGunnigle will take place on Saturday, September 7th – 1 pm.

"Downtown" East Greenwich is full of old homes built by ship captains and mill owners. The oldest, at 27 King Street, dates from 1770.

This 3/4-mile walking tour of King Street, part of Water Street and the Wine Street Cemetery will tell the tale of the people who lived in them. Be prepared for stories on ghosts, suicides, divorce and murder!

The free tour will last about 1 1/2 hours.  Space is limited to 30 people. Make a reservation at 884-9510.

Meet at the parking lot at 86 Main Street.
