Former EG History Teacher, Athletic Director, Dies at 85
Mr. Harley was a history teacher at East Greenwich High School for over 30 years and, in addition, served as Athletic Director and golf coach.
Peter S. Harley, 85, passed away June 2, 2014.
He was the husband of Helen K. (Brown) Harley.
Born in Fitchburg, MA he was a son of the late David M. and Helen (Gilchrist) Harley.
Mr. Harley was a history teacher at East Greenwich High School for over 30 years and, in addition, served as Athletic Director and golf coach. He was an avid golfer and was a loyal member of East Greenwich Country Club and served in the US Army.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters; Nancy Iadeluca and Tricia Harley, three grandchildren, one great granddaughter, two sisters; Patricia Pfeiffer and Lynn Erickson and was the brother of the late Porter Harley.
Calling hours were Tuesday June 3rd at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., E. Greenwich. His funeral and burial will be private.
