Obituary: Adriana Carola Schaller, 27

Adriana Carola Schaller, 27, left us peacefully on 27JAN14 after a year-long fight with AML. She was 27.

Adri always strived to make a positive impact on the lives of all those around her. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Schaller, of Providence, her sister, Pilar Sanchez-Vergara of Barranquilla, her mother and father, Valmiro Sanchez and Licette Vergara also of Barranquilla, her grandmothers Lilia Jimenez and Venus Rosales, of Barranquilla and Pawtucket.

Adri will be fondly remembered as an excellent listener. She was graceful and fair, always working to understand all of the facets of life. She moved to the US six years ago from Barranquilla, Colombia to marry her husband, and got her citizenship three years later. Her love of languages led her to work as an international salesperson at Lenze Americas, where she worked for 5 years until she fell ill.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fourth Avenue, East Greenwich. Private burial will take place in Colombia.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215 would be appreciated.
