Albert R. (Bob) Fiore, 87, of East Greenwich, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cranston.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rose Ann (DeMary) Fiore. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Attilio and Jennie (Fontana) Fiore. Bob was a US Army veteran serving during WW II. He was employed by the US Federal Civil Service at the US Naval Submarine Base, New London, CT for twenty-five years before his retirement.
He is survived by his loving children, Robert G. Fiore and his wife (Hanne) of Baltimore MD, Laurie A. Bonin, Esq. of Cranston, and Christopher A. Fiore, Esq. of Providence. He was the cherished grandfather of Christian, Daniel, Samantha, Shane, Ashley, Kyle, Dylan, and Kendall. Bob was the brother of the late Rocco, Arthur, Frank, Anthony, and Dena Fiore.
His funeral service and entombment with Military Honors will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
