Obituary: Donald R. Gordon, 62
Donald was a true gentleman, an intellectual and a philosopher.
Donald R. Gordon, 62, died Saturday, Nov. 10, after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Constance Mussells Gordon and son of the late Ralph and Rita (Meaney) Gordon, also of East Greenwich.
Donald graduated from Brown University in 1972 with degrees in engineering and economics. He worked in the IT and software industries for many years, for companies including IBM and Software Publishing, for which he traveled the world. Donald also helped to take several IT companies public. Most recently, he worked as a recruiter and management consultant for defense industries.
Donald was a member of the Rhode Island Yacht Club (serving as race chair for many years) and the East Greenwich Yacht Club, among other affliations.
