Loretta M. Jusczyk (Slezak), 95, passed away on Oct. 16, at Heritage Hills Nursing Center in Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Edmund J. Jusczyk.
Loretta was born in West Warwick and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Wodarz) Slezak. She lived in East Greenwich most of her life.
She was a 1939 graduate of Rhode Island College and taught at Lockwood Jr. High School in Warwick for 32 years. She was a member of the Warwick Retired Teachers Association, Rhode Island Retired Teachers Association and the R.I. College Alumni Association.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church.
She leaves two sons, Edward P. Jusczyk of East Greenwich, and David J. Justin of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla; a brother, Bernard Slezak of Coventry; and two grandchildren, Michael E. Jusczyk of Boston, Mass., and Jonathan P. Jusczyk of Warwick. Loretta was the sister of the late Louis, Stanley, and Ferdinand Slezak and Edna Carney (Slezak).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. in Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich.
