Obituary: Rosemary C. Lusignan, RN, 73

She was a dedicated nurse for 53 years.

Rosemary C. Lusignan, RN, 73, passed away Sept. 21. She was the wife of the late George H. Lusignan, Sr. Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Sebastian and Yolanda A. (Celona) Florio.

Rosemary was a graduate of the St. Joseph's School of Nursing in 1960 and received her B.S. and Masters in Education from Providence College. She was a dedicated nurse for 53 years, retiring as a clinical care coordinator at St. Joseph's / Our Lady of Fatima Hospital.

She is survived by six children; Christine A. Richard, Robert T. Ricciutti and his wife Sylvia, Joanne Edgar and her husband Keith, Jeanne A. Iacobucci and her husband Robert, George H. Lusignan, Jr. (WFD) and his wife Nina and Victor S. Lusignan (CFD) and his wife Jill, eleven grandchildren; Aubrey and Sophia Lusignan, Jessica, Lauren, Rachel and Robert Iacobucci, Anthony, Ericka, Joseph, Thomas and Andrea Ricciutti and she was the sister of the late Prudence Masello.

She was grateful for the many people that played an important part in her life; her friends, co-workers, and parishioners of Our Lady of Mercy Church.

The funeral will be Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 9 a.m. from the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich, with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, East Greenwich. Calling hours are Tuesday, Sept. 24, 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to McCauley House.
