Cocaine Found Outside Cumberland Farms

The tied-off corner of a plastic bag containing 2.6 grams of cocaine and some chopped up painkillers was found near the gas pumps at Cumberland Farms at 5687 Post Road on June 20, police said.

Police said a store employee called police at around 3:30 p.m. and said a customer came in and said there was a bag of drugs near pump no. 1. The employee retrieved the drugs, brought them inside and notified his manager.

It was unclear how long the bag was on the ground and the employee said there was nobody around when he went outside to pick up the bag.

Police seized the drugs, which tested positive for cocaine. Upon further scrutiny, police noticed several chopped up pills inside which later were identified as Tramadol.

The drugs were secured as evidence.

Police are investigating.
