Rhode Island State Police arrested Nahrgang, 44, on July 16 on charges of disorderly conduct and simple assault, both misdemeanors. The arrest was the result of an investigation by members of the Rhode Island State Police Major Crimes Unit of an incident that occurred at the East Greenwich Police Station in the early evening hours on May 22. EG Police Chief Tom Coyle contacted the State Police and requested assistance after observing a video tape of the incident the following day.
