Marijuana Arrests, & Fighting Over Beer, Money

Information about the following incidents was supplied by the East Greenwich Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.


Monday, April 9

5:47 p.m. — Police arrested Debbie Keough, 55, of Queen Street, on a District Court bench warrant for a charge of disorderly conduct at her home.

10:48 a.m. — Police arrested Steven Medeiros, 32, of Cactus Street in Providence, for larceny, resisting arrest and receiving stolen goods after his employer, Roofing Concepts, tipped off police they believed Medeiros was stealing from them after reviewing surveillance tapes. Police stopped Medeiros on South County Trail northbound. He at first refused to leave his car, yelling at police, according to the report. Once under arrest, he verbally threatened police but stopped once in the cell block, according to the report. His car was towed to the police impound lot.

3:42 p.m. — Police arrested Douglas Lecuivre, 21, of Clyde Street in West Warwick on two District Court bench failure-to-appear warrants after he was stopped for speeding on First Avenue. He was taken into custody. His passenger drove the car from the scene.

6:16 p.m. — Police arrested Jeffery Hallinan, 47, and Michael Nicholson, 42, both of Main Street, disorderly conduct. According to the report, both men acknowledged fighting over money and beer. After Nicholson allegedly punched Hallinan, Hallinan allegedly pushed Nicholson, causing him to fall down a flight of stairs. The men were issued District Court summons and released.

Wednesday, April 11

2:23 p.m. — Police arrested Jason Kindschy, 24, of Marlborough Street, for driving with a suspended license after he was stopped on Post Road because of an expired registration sticker. Further checked turned up the suspended license charge, but also that the car registration was valid. Kindschy was issued a summons and released. A friend drove the car from the scene.

Thursday, April 12

Police arrested three juveniles, ages not available, at the corner of Chestnut Drive and Hamilton Drive on drug charges Thursday evening (exact time was not made available). One youth was charged with three counts of drug possession; another youth was charged with marijuana possession and receiving stolen goods; the third youth was charged with possessing marijuana.
