While patrol units were responding, a witness near the scene said two men had just entered the front of the store after smashing the window, then drove away in a grey Cadillac toward Interstate 95. Coventry Officer Matthew Leclerc chased the car onto the 95 northbound, joining Warwick officers in attempting to pull the Cadillac over. The suspects continued north into Providence, where officers from Providence assisted in arresting the pair on Narragansett Boulevard and Vermont Street. Police recovered several packs of cigarettes that were stolen from CVS, according to reports.

Coventry police took Sithong into custody, while Providence officers arrested Henries.
