Police Arrest 2 Suspects In Moosehorn Breaking & Entering

An alert resident calls police after seeing the pair leaving a house on Tillinghast, carrying a bag.

East Greenwich Police arrested two suspects Thursday in connection with a breaking and entering on Moosehorn Road on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

On Tuesday, residents of 330 Moosehorn Road told police their house had been broken into and that a number of jewelry and electronics items were taken.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, an alert resident saw a man and woman, who was carrying a white bag, walking down a driveway on Tillinghast Road and walk to a nearby car on Arrowhead Trail. They looked suspicious to the resident, who then called police and gave police the car's license plate number.

A short time later, Officer David Petrucci stopped the car on Middle Road. The man and woman gave contradicting stories to the police. The police searched the car after receiving permission to do so from the couple. Police found drug paraphernalia, as well as a prescription pill container that was prescribed to a resident from Moosehorn Road house broken into on Wednesday.                                                            

Greg R. Waldron, 34, of Station Street in Coventry, has been charged with one count of breaking and entering and one count of possession of a schedule I-V narcotics.

Lisa D. Bonitati, 37, of Pocasset Avenue in Providence, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit breaking and entering. She also had two outstanding Superior Court bench warrants. 

Both subjects were held overnight and were arraigned Thursday at Kent County District Court.
